Eileen celebrates 108 years with film dedicated to Gertrud Bodenwieser

Another year, another birthday – and another beautiful film from the imagination of Eileen Kramer, with long-time collaborator Sue Healey.

‘Variations on a Waterlily’ is inspired by a short dance created by Gertrud Bodenwieser in 1925, and performed by Eileen in the late 1940s and early 1950s. But the film encompasses much more – from friendships formed across the world to the idea of the perfect tea party.

Eileen has written a little book about the making of the film. You can read it here.

We hope to be able to bring you the film itself soon.
